Making your lawn look great all year around can be a tough job. When do apply a preemergent? How much fertilizer do I use? How often do I do lawn fertilizing in Connecticut? What will make my lawn look its best?
These are just a few of the many questions that are mentioned when it comes to a lawn fertilizing program here in CT’s Farmington Valley. Our six application program is designed to meet your lawn’s needs year around. Our program includes five visits with six applications with service calls as needed.

Application #1: April
– Balanced fertilizer with pre-emergent to help prevent crabgrass and broad-leaf weeds.
Application #2: Early June
– Balanced fertilizer with spot weed control as needed.
Application #3: Mid-Summer
– Grub control to prevent insect and grub damage.
Application #4: July/August
– Slow release balanced fertilizer to protect against drought stress with spot weed control as needed.
Application #5: September
 – Balanced fertilizer with spot weed control as needed
Application #6: Late October/November
 – Winterizer fertilizer with Lime
